Learn to drive, in English

Auto-école du 10ᵉ is a licensed driving school at 83 boulevard de la Villette, Paris 10th, facing Colonel Fabien metro (line 2). Driving lessons are available in English, and we guide holders of non-exchangeable foreign licences through the full French licence process. Official pass rate in 2025: 80% (148 candidates).

Is your licence exchangeable?

Some foreign licences can simply be exchanged for a French one within your first year of residence. Many cannot — including most licences from India, China, the United States (most states), Brazil and others. If yours is non-exchangeable, or the deadline has passed, you must pass the French exams: the theory test (code) and the practical driving test. We check your exact situation at the first appointment, for free.

How it works

1. 1Paperwork. We register you with the French licensing system (NEPH number via ANTS) and handle the administrative file with you, in English.
2. 2Assessment drive (45 min). In a real car, in real Paris traffic. Your existing experience counts: the training covers only the gap — French rules, Paris habits, exam expectations.
3. 3Theory test. The official test is in French; we train you on the vocabulary that actually appears, with unlimited online practice and weekly group sessions at the school.
4. 4Driving lessons in English. Manual (black Peugeot 208) or automatic (Toyota Yaris hybrid). Tell us when booking and we schedule you with an English-speaking instructor.
5. 5The exams. Mock exam in real conditions first, then the real test at the centre with the best conditions for your profile.

Pricing & funding

Full prices are displayed at the school and quoted in writing after the assessment drive — nothing is billed before. Extra hours cost the same as package hours. Payment in instalments is available; see the 2026 funding guide (CPF rules changed in February 2026).
